Since graduating
in 2005 from the University of Sunderland I have continued to produce work in slipcast porcelain and earthenware. My
work often begins with the use of a found object which is perceived as having little worth or aesthetic value, these objects
are then transformed through the process of casting, shaping, firing and sanding.
Recent bodies of work include hand drawn images
of insects on bottles and anatomical images on jars exploring the idea of collecting and ownership.
