Since graduating in 2005 from the University of Sunderland I have continued to produce work in slipcast porcelain and earthenware. My
practice often begins with a debate regarding the notion of value and what an object must possess in order to be considered
a valuable craft item. I often work with found objects where the idea of an object being valuable because of the original
design is immediately challenged. The idea of repetition is central to my practice as multiples of the same object are cast
using industrial production processes on a domestic scale. I enjoy adding value back to the basic cast form with the addition
of hand drawn images of insects, anatomical designs and hand written quotations.
I am currently working on a new website and for information on what I am
up to at the moment please click on the link to my blog.
